Day book, 1839 Feb.-May, listing grocery accounts, and Sept. 1857, carpentry accounts on back page; account book, 1849-1852, documenting purchases of carpentry supplies on behalf of various clients around Columbia; and volume, 1865-1866, "Catherine Troy cash book, Columbia" 1865, re sales of groceries and mid-way in volume, "C. Troy's account book" 1865-1866. Carpentry account book, 1849-1852, documents work done at private and public buildings in Columbia, S.C., including library shelves at South Carolina College and "repairs on buildings damaged by fire"; "repairs to poor house" for the Town Council; other clients include the Lunatic Assylum, Charlotte Rail Road; "the Male Academy"; Dr. Trevesant; and "W[ade] Hampton, Jr." Troy's writings pertaining to temperance and other non-business related papers remain onsite at Manuscripts Division.
